If you've followed me and my musical conquest over the last few years, chances are high that you saw me jump on the ship of a young man out of Florida by the name of Joshua Michael Robinson. His debut Intentions, produced by Aaron Marsh of Copeland, was a top 5 album of the year for me when it was released independently, but shortly thereafter he began to transition from more of a indie singer-songwriter to a more soulful, R&B influenced songwriter in the same vein of of James Blake, Shy Girls, Vancouver Sleep Clinic, and The Japanese House. Now signed to Republic Records, this soulful and sexy sound has JMR on a lot of radars and eager to hear this new chapter. Numerous singles have been released, as well as his first proper JMR - EP, which dropped just last week. With the right timing, JMR could make a push as an artist to watch late into 2016, as his sound could easily become the soundtrack for fall.
